All of you, Every one of you are so amazing!! You are angels in disguise. I do not know how you do your job with such grace and heartfelt love and concern. Thank you so very much for the kind care you administered to my Dad! You are outstanding in service and we were so blessed that our Dad was able to be a resident of Courtyard! Your kind care of Alvin made a huge difference in "our world." Thank you, too, for your generous and kind accommodation during our Dad's passing. God Bless each and every one of you!

Thank you all! Everyone was more than helpful. Your jobs are so tough but you handle it well. God Bless.
You were so kind and helpful. You handle yourselves with dignity and a caring spirit. We certainly chose the right full-care home for our dad. I wish all homes were of your quality. Love you all.

My niece, Wanda, was a resident since 1986, suffering from tubular sclerosis, causing her severe mental disabilities. She was loved by the staff and when her health began to fail, she was cared for with details of love. When she entered Hospice care, they moved her to the room next to the Nurses Station on Birch wing. The butterflies on the shelves and walls comforted us as a family when we visited her. We felt the love from being in the room and when she entered coma and seizures, the staff never left her alone. On her very last day on earth, her room was constantly visited by staff who wanted to say goodbye. In her final hours, she was not aware of her surroundings but I KNOW for sure she felt the love. As an aunt, I was comforted in hearing the stories she was a part of all these years but most of all I saw the tears and grief as Courtyard said goodbye. You all cared for her, you were her family when we could not be there for her. THANK YOU, THANK YOU. The care she received went way beyond the standards and I am comforted by all the love. I will always treasure the memories of her final days. The staff of Courtyard know how to help patients and families through difficult times. Thank you again.

Going to Courtyard was the best decision I could have made for myself. I had a total knee replacement. Therapy was difficult but rewarding and I would recommend Courtyard to anyone. Courtyard has a lot of great people that work there and I really enjoyed my stay and would go back if I ever had the need.

I’ve worked in a couple of different facilities and Courtyard is something special. I worked here 12 years ago and came back . I love it. It’s just an amazing place. We do so much for the residents. There’s such a wide range of activities from movies to field trips and everyone just has a blast.

I’ve received the best care here possible. I have heart issues and have been here only three weeks after experiencing a fall at home. They take care of me extremely well. I get a shower everyday and the food is so good I eat everything but the plate itself. I’m only 68 years old and I know God has plans for me, so I want to get better.

The best way I can describe Courtyard is it’s like a family. The residents and staff become your extended family. I work in the social services area. I work with families, matching up roommates, doing assessments, and other duties. I’ve even had some second-generations that I’ve taken care of during the past 32 years. It takes a special type of person to do this and it’s who I am. I joke that my tombstone will say "She tried to make everyone happy."

My brother, Ralph, has been there for five years after suffering a series of strokes. As a bachelor, he was always kind of a loner. He’s really come out of his shell since he’s been at Courtyard Healthcare. He loves the nurses, the aides and the other residents. I’d call him quite social now. He participates in all the activities and attends religious services. He’s happy. That’s all I can say.

My Mom has been at Courtyard for three years. The improvements are unbelievable and the remodeling is remarkable. They listen to the residents’ wants and needs and I haven’t found a lot of facilities that will do that. They really listen. Brian Cook (executive director) even went to court with me to advocate on my mother’s behalf.

"Thank you or providing a place where I can come when I am feeling at my worst with the best therapists, nurses & aides, activities, dining and social services, it would be almost impossible to feel bad. I am leaving here feeling good, making new friends and old and feeling I am leaving my second home and that sometime I will go back again."

"Just spent a little over a month there for rehab after a motorcycle accident. I don’t have a bad thing to say about them. The entire staff, administration, aids, nurses, therapists that I interacted with were great and really care about the residents. The therapy department though, wow, I can’t say enough about how awesome they are. Honestly my favorite part of my day was working with them. They are all great people and excellent therapists."

I would like to share my experience of my stay at Courtyard. I came in as a patient in the COVID unit. The nursing staff were so helpful with me and in keeping my wife informed of my progress. They were professional but also caring for each patient as if they were their own family. When I transferred to Dogwood Unit it was just the same. The physical therapists, social workers, and nursing staff were wonderful. I would say that everyone had an attitude of doing their best for each patient and took pride in their work. I was very happy to be discharged to go home but will miss all of you who were so attentive to my needs. Thank you and God bless, Joe Wickey
